The Case Against Man-Made Global Warming
The issue of man-made global warming is highly contested. Not all scientists agree that global warming is man-made despite this claim made by Al Gore in the movie, “An Inconvenient Truth” The case against man-made global warming are stated below. However, these are not to be taken as fact, only the position of this perspective.
The sun has been going through a warming cycle which is a normal occurrence.
The sun may now actually by going into a cooling cycle which would negate claims of global warming
The polar ice caps on Mars have been melting since 2005. This is due to the warming solar cycle.
Despite what Al Gore says, there is not a scientific consensus on man-made global warming. It is actually quite the opposite. One has to wonder why Al Gore also leaves an enormous “carbon footprint” with his massive home and luxuries, much more than the average person that he proposes is taxed for their carbon footprint.
The September 2006 issue of the American Meteorological Society’s Journal of Climate reported that glaciers are actually growing in the Himalayan mountains. But, according to Al Gore, they are shrinking.
The oldest plant DNA on record indicates the planet was far warmer hundreds of thousands of years ago. Possibly 9 F (5 C) higher than now and even at this temperature, the glaciers on Greenland did not completely melt away.
