The Case for Man-Made Global Warming
The popular argument of today is that people are the primary reason for recent climate changes. This notion has been highly popularized by the feature film, “An Inconvenient Truth” starring Al Gore. The reasons for this position are stated below. However, these are not to be taken as fact, only the position of this perspective.
The main reason is for the increasing amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere by man burning fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels are used to provide the required energy to operate cars, trucks, planes and factories.
The population of the earth is rapidly increasing causing more fossil fuels to be used.
Third world nations are developing their industries and economies at a rapid pace, causing the need for more fossil fuels to be used to support their infrastructure.
The amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels is more than the earth’s atmosphere can handle, creating a thicker blanket of gases which in turns traps heat in the atmosphere.
The amount of carbon dioxide measured in the environment is higher than anytime in human history.
